好きな人の前でドキドキして動揺から平静でいられなくなる様子を、物理的な破壊や地震に例えて表現している。
・left in bits：イギリス英語の口語表現で「粉々になる」「完全に打ちのめされる」「心身ともにバラバラになる（ほど困惑・ショック）」という意味。
・recorvering：回復している、立ち直ろうとしている。
・tectonic trembling：地殻変動の揺れ。
